Welcome to the Carbon County Museum

We envision diverse but relevant experiences for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn about themselves and their world through the history of Carbon County. The museum collects, conserves, interprets and disseminates regional history to inspire Carbon County cultural entities and all learners—today and tomorrow.

Tuesday-Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM

Tour Groups Welcome

We welcome your group and are happy to host either guided or self-guided tours. Please call the museum in advance to arrange your visit.

Parking

Carbon County Museum is located between 9th and 10th street on West Walnut in Rawlins. Street side parking is available around the block.

Admission

There is no admission to visit the museum, but donations are greatly appreciated.

Lunch Space

The museum does not have an indoor lunch facility; however, picnic tables are available on the grounds during the warmer months.
